Boyer GM Bancroft supports Red Dress Day!
GM Canada’s Indigenous Peoples Network and Women’s Council is bringing awareness to Red Dress Day with a series of specially designed T-Shirts and Pins. The Boyer GM Bancroft wore their T-Shirts on May 5 in honour of Red Dress Day, drawing awareness to the thousands of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S). .
The images on the shirts and pins were designed by Robin Paul, who is Mi’kmaq artist from Newfoundland and currently living in Welamoktok First Nation in New Brunswick Canada.
All funds raised through the purchase of these shirts and pins go towards the Ontario Native Women’s Association, which is a not-for-profit organization focused on empowering and supporting all Indigenous women and their families in Ontario through research, advocacy, policy development, and programs.
